The Gion Hatanaka Ryokan (Japanese Inn) is a "High Class" Ryokan in Kyoto just a short stroll from the picturesque Gion district.  All rooms are  the traditional "Japanese Style" with futons on tatami mats for sleeping. There is a large public bath which over-looks a Japanese Zen Garden and guests can enjoy spa treatments in their room.  The spacious rooms at Hatanaka Gion feature large windows and a balcony. They come with a flat-screen TV, a seating area and an en suite bathroom with bathtub.  The Ryokan serves in-room meals with seasonal local dishes (Meals need to be reserved at least 1 day in advance and those who cannot eat raw seafood need to notify the property 1 day in advance. Any other meal/dietary requests cannot be accommodated).  The Ryokan is a 5-minute walk from Yasaka Shrine and a 10-minute walk from Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Kyoto Station is a 15-minute drive away. Kawaramachi Train Station is a 10-minute walk.
