Kawashima Ryokan is conveniently located on a quiet back street, it is within strolling distance of some of Kyoto's best-known temples and shrines around Kyoto. This traditional ryokan has been in business since 1901 and is now managed by the 3rd generation of the family. Each rooms is equipped with the modern comforts like television and air-conditioning while staying true to its traditional Japanese theme. There are even "fusuma" or sliding doors when choosing bigger rooms.
